PRODUCTION

ESTABLISHING THE PROCESS

Philosophically, the production took on the most ambitious scope possible on an extremely limited budget and window. The film called for incredible reverence to establishing a process for the purpose of meeting the following production requirements:

  • Every single storyboard was edited into a cut of the picture and each set-up was mapped by an exceedingly detailed series of overheads

  • All costs, permits, and legal standards were cleared and "above-board"

  • SAG-AFTRA signed and cleared

  • A $50,000 production budget

  • A crew of 28 for principle photography

  • Fifty-two shots spread over two-night span with no labor disputes or claims

  • Shot on-location in Riverside County, California

PARTNERS

THE BEST OF THE BEST

Some of the best production vendors in the world were infected by our passion and took an interest in making this project in the following ways:

  • To immediately convey the scope of our picture's themes and paint with the best paintbrush possible, we shot on Kodak 35mm (5219) Film

  • Once pitched, Panavision jumped on-board as a production partner and provided the XL Millenium 2 Camera, along with a standard set of their classic 35mm Primo Lenses

  • The industry-standard processing and finishing house FotoKem scanned the film and consulted throughout each phase of the film

  • Walter Volpatto, was the colorist on our film, his credits include: 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi'. 'Dunkirk', and 'Interstellar'

  • CinePower & Light provided all grip and electric equipment on the film

KICKSTARTER

OFF TO A KICK-START

In order to provide the film with its deserving funds, we successfully launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise more than two-thirds the total budget:

  • Raised over $31,500, exceeding our initial goal

  • Contributions were amassed over a 60-day span

  • During the final two days, the campaign was featured on the front page of Kickstarter.com garnering over $1,000 in endemic contributions

  • A total of 109 backers supported the project and they are updated intermittently on the project's progress via the project's landing page, social media, and email exchange

  • The average contribution totaled $209.78

  • In order to correctly budget the project and prove its merit, each shot was individually storyboarded and select versions were shared with our Kickstarter base as a means to build excitement and raise capital
